Overview
Teera, a new restaurant in Pune, sought a menu design that would reflect their tropical theme and commitment to a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The client envisioned a menu that would transport diners to a tropical paradise, with a focus on vibrant colors and natural elements. A green color scheme was specified to evoke the lushness and freshness of tropical landscapes.
Key Learnings
This project was a great example of how a strong theme can be communicated without the need for overdesign. It demonstrated that a tropic vibe can be communicated by limited use of color and some natural elements and still be able to keep a clean, minimalist layout. Green-focused palette made me realize that one color can be enough to create a certain atmosphere and evoke an emotion. Also, the work on the menu made me think that the necessary qualities of the text such as clarity and readability have to be taken into account even when visual storytelling is used.
